Donations

The NVAHOF is glad to accept your documents, artifacts, photos, books related to aerospace in Nevada. Books and other documents that you no longer need for your personal collections are always appreciated, as well as original artifacts related to the organization’s mission. The NVAHOF has a formal process for the evaluation, selection, and preservation of such items. Please consider the NVAHOF as a great option for the disposition of such items.

We appreciate those individuals that could volunteer their time to research and prepare submissions for use on the website. A guide is available on the website for those electing to support the NVAHOF mission in this manner. Sharing your knowledge is a great way to help the youth of today learn from the past.

Gifts of Stock – this is almost as easy to do as gifts of cash. When you transfer appreciated stock to NVAHOF, you may be eligible to take an immediate income tax deduction and bypass tax of the appreciation (capital gains) of the stock. Bequests – Bequests to NVAHOF can reduce the taxes on an individual’s estate. If you are interested in making a bequest to NVAHOF, you can either make a bequest of a specific amount of money or property (such as 100 shares of XYZ stock) or a bequest of a percentage of the estate. Sample language for a bequest could be worded something like:

FOR A SPECIFIC BEQUEST:
“I, (name of donor), give (specific amount) to the Nevada Aerospace Hall of Fame, having its offices at 468 Palegold St., Henderson, NV, 89012 for its general purposes.”

FOR A PERCENTAGE BEQUEST:
“I, (name of donor), give (a specific percentage) of my estate to the Nevada Aerospace Hall of Fame, having its offices at 468 Palegold St., Henderson, NV, 89012 for its general purposes.”

A third type of bequest is a residual bequest in which the donor leaves the remainder of the estate, after all other gifts and expenses are taken care of, to the Nevada Aerospace Hall of Fame.

Life Insurance – Life insurance policies provide surviving beneficiaries with a death benefit. If you wish to include NVAHOF as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, you may do so – in consultation with your financial advisor and family members. There is no charitable deduction for this gift because the gift is only realized at the donor’s passing. You can also make NVAHOF the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Premiums paid by the donor may then be tax-deductible.

As with any gift arrangement, please consult your financial advisor before making a gift to NVAHOF.
