In 2010, NVAHOF Executive Director TD Barnes, Communications Director Connie May, and Photography Director Mike Schmitz, along with CIA retiree Peter DeForth organized a 10-day legacy tour, taking former CIA pilots, engineers, and contractors to Washington, DC where they conducted panel discussions at the CIA Bubble, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, the Capital Hill Club, the International Spy Museum, and other venues. Moderated by CIA Chief Historian Dr. David Robarge, Ph.D., the group spoke to the workforce at the various venues on the CIA’s U-2 and A-12 projects at Area 51.
